Built-in outdoor pizza ovens, countertop and cart
Despite the name on this page, the collection holds three installations. A built-in outdoor pizza oven slides into a cutout in a masonry or steel island and finishes flush with the surrounding surface, the way the Alfresco 30-inch ovens and the Fire Magic Aurora and Echelon ovens do. A countertop pizza oven sits on a finished counter or a matching sleeve, so it needs clearance and a gas line but no cutout, the easier route when the island is already built. A freestanding oven rides on a cart and rolls where you want it: Blaze, Delta Heat, Artisan and Bull all offer that version.
Gas, wood and dual fuel
Most of what you see here is a gas pizza oven. Gas gives you a dial, a short wait before the stone is ready and no ash to shovel out afterward, which is what makes a Tuesday night pizza realistic. Wood takes longer and asks more of you, but it brings the smoke and the leopard-spotted char people picture when they think of a pizza oven. A dual fuel pizza oven does both: the Summerset OV-HYB hybrid and the Coyote 30-inch hybrid run on gas and accept wood when you want the flavor, while the Coyote DUOMO is wood fired only. All of them run well above a home oven, which is why a pie that needs fifteen minutes indoors is done in a fraction of that outside.
The Bull dual fuel countertop pizza oven is the model most people ask for by name. It needs no cutout and no masonry work, and it burns gas or wood depending on how much time you feel like spending. Bull also builds a matching cart that turns the same oven into a freestanding one you can roll out of the way. Both are here, and in Bull pizza ovens.
Sizing and what fits in your island
Start with the opening you have, or the opening you can still change. Every built-in model lists a cutout width, depth and height, and those numbers are not negotiable: the oven has to seat with the manufacturer's clearances to combustible material intact, and the enclosure needs ventilation so heat and gas are not trapped inside it. Countertop ovens still want clearance behind and above, and a counter rated to carry their weight. Check the cutout dimensions on the product page against your island before ordering, and call us if the numbers are close.
Pairing a pizza oven with a built-in grill
Choosing a pizza oven for an outdoor kitchen is mostly a layout question. Plan it next to a built-in gas grill so one gas run and one hood serve both, add built-in side burners for sauce and sides, and fill the runs between appliances with outdoor kitchen storage doors and drawers so peels, wood and tools stay near the oven. Islands and the components that go into them are in outdoor kitchens and more.
Shop pizza ovens by brand
Brand narrows the field quickly. Alfresco pizza ovens cover the 30-inch built-in and countertop Pizza Oven Plus in a long list of colors, plus a prep cart version. Blaze pizza ovens center on the 26-inch gas oven, offered built-in, on a countertop sleeve or on a cart, with rotisserie and Bluetooth probes on the LTE+ model. Delta Heat pizza ovens come in built-in DHPO30 and freestanding form, and Artisan pizza ovens put the same 29-inch oven on a counter or a cart. Fire Magic, Coyote, Summerset, Halo and the compact Cozze oven from Schwank round out the page. For freestanding wood fired ovens, see Alfa pizza ovens or the full pizza oven collection.
Covers, accessories and dealer support
An outdoor oven lives outdoors, so buy the cover with it. Our grill covers collection includes fitted covers for many of the ovens and carts here, and pizza oven accessories such as peels, brushes and stones are worth adding to the first order.
