Grill Repair

Grill repair, cleaning and assembly across the greater Washington DC area, from the team behind Capital Grills. Our service arm, BBQ Rescue, comes to you. Call 301-543-9336 to book.

What we do

Most grills that stop working are not finished. A burner that will not light evenly, a grate that has lost its surface, a gasket that no longer seals: these are parts, and parts can be changed. Replacing a sound grill because one component failed is an expensive habit.

  • Grill cleaning. A full strip and clean, including the burners, grates, heat plates and grease tray.
  • Minor repair. Diagnosis and replacement of the components that commonly fail.
  • Grill assembly. New grill delivered in a box? We will build it properly and check it over.
  • Monthly maintenance. A standing visit so the grill stays ready through the season.
  • Big Green Egg gasket replacement. A specific job we do often and do well.
  • Diagnostic check-up. If you are not sure what is wrong, this is where to start.

Brands we specialize in

BBQ Rescue is a certified specialist for Napoleon, Big Green Egg and Weber. We work on other makes as well, so call and ask if yours is not listed.

Booking a visit

Call 301-543-9336, weekdays 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Closed Sunday. You can also book online at bbqrescue.net.

Have your grill's make, model number and a rough description of the fault ready if you can. The model number is usually on the underside of the control panel on a built-in head, or inside a cabinet door on a cart grill. A photograph works just as well.

Outside the service area?

We ship parts nationwide. If you are comfortable doing the work yourself, most common failures are straightforward once you know which component to order. Browse grill replacement parts for your brand: Weber, Bull, AOG or Blaze.

Free shipping on orders over $75. If you are unsure which part you need, call 1 (866) 850-3450 with the model number and we will help you identify it.

Common questions

Do you come to me, or do I bring the grill in?

We come to you, anywhere inside the service area listed above.

Is my grill worth repairing?

Usually, yes. A rough guide: if the parts cost more than about a third of a comparable new grill and the firebox itself is rusting through, replacement is the better buy. A sound firebox is almost always worth putting parts into, and good built-in heads are routinely worth rebuilding at ten years old.

How often should a grill be cleaned professionally?

Once a year suits most people, ideally at the start of the season. Cook several times a week, or leave the grill uncovered through winter, and twice a year is a better fit.

Do you work on charcoal and kamado grills?

Yes. Big Green Egg gasket replacement is one of our regular jobs.

Can you assemble a grill I bought elsewhere?

Yes. Assembly is a standalone service and the grill does not need to have come from us.
